I was on Medicaid, and let me tell you the service is amazing. Unbelievable. I've been on so called "Cadillac plans" and they in no way compare to Medicaid, it is top notch. I think it's very sad that when I had a good job, paying insane taxes, great insurance I could not afford the type of care the govt gonline mayo clinicives for free to people who don't work.
It tells me con repubs have it all wrong and support a failed medical ideology.
A perfect example of what happens with socialized medicine.
The Mayo Clinic can go to Hell for all I care.
When every American has the healthcare that is their's by virtue of being a human being with needs I will not give the first thought to the Mayo flipping clinic.
I think it is hysterical that Obama has consistently used the Mayo Clinic as a 'model' for healthcare.
Ionline mayo clinict proves that changing what you pay for something doesn't necessarily reduce its cost. Medicare reimbursement is based on the thinking that health care will become more efficient if you simply pay less for it.

Check out the NY Times article below about "Baumol's cost disease" which says health care costs are much harder to contain than those in other industries because providing health care is very, very labor intensive.
