No doubt Symantec(norton) is best of all because of its excellent of background scanning but if you don't have a better system i mean high-end with 512 minimum ram as well as good processor than you should not touch norton antivirus it needs lot of resources to run. mcafee is best in personal use systems but you require best security and you have high end system than go for Norton antivirus.
AVG at www.grisoft.com
I recommend neither. Get a free one like Avast or AVG.
Commercial anti-virus products aren't necessarily better than free ones.
The best free one is AOL's new Active Virus Shield, based on Kapersky's Personal Antivirus. It has the best scan emcafee antivirus software freengine of all the free ones, with very frequent pattern updates.
Until this came out, I was using Alwil's Avast! (
Mcafee and Symantic are both totally worthless junk. I recommend this free antivirus. It is called antivir.
avast from avast.com
In a recent test:
Best: Kaspersky, PC-cillin, BitDefender or F-Secure
For beginner: Norton Antivirus, McAfee or Panda Titanium
Light, efficient but not for begginner :NOD32
Free: Avast, Antivir, almost as efficient as the non-free...avoid AVG
Kaspersky seems to be the best, but they are equal...some are faster, lighter, easier, dectect more or less viruses.
www.antivir.com
It's free, I haven't hmcafee antivirus software freead any problems and it's very easy to install yourself. German company.
hi, i think symantic is better, but you should pay for the software.
i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.
besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.
firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
download firefox for free:
Best Wishes && Good Luck!
