mozilla firefoxMozilla Firefox?

I just read someone's answer that said that Mozilla Firefox is not as good with security issues on the computer. He said the person should delete it. Is this true, are you more susceptible to viruses or spyware or other things with Mozilla? Is IE better?
Under my experience with Firefox, it's very unlikely to get jammed with ads, pop ups and spyware/adware. Still, no web browser can protect you from viruses and other harmful stuff, so get a firewall to protect yourself.
Sounds like something fishy, Mozilla is very secure
The consensus is that firefox is safer as it maintained by a very large user community and as such any secmozilla firefoxurity fixes are dealt with much quicker than they are by microsoft with its Internet Explorer package.

What they are referring to is that fact that there are more reported security issues with firefox as opposed to ie however that isn't nearly as important as with how the issues are dealt.

If they are dealt with quickly then there is very little potential problems to user whereas a long gap in security fix releases means that the people using the exploit have much more time in which to gain access to your computer and thus wreak havock.
Using firefox with the following addons will result in a 95% reduction of spyware/malwmozilla firefoxare on ur pc..
noscript/adblock/noflash

note:::: there are some noted vulnerabilities with firefox and its password manager... do not use it to store passwords, do not use any browser to store passwords.

hands down better security then IE
Firefox is a lot safer the IE.
Firefox is a lot safer the IE.
There is no such thing as a safe browser... One person is going to say IE is better, the other hails Firefox.

I'm in the FF camp...Regular updates, and more plugins available... just see to update to the newest version every time and always use a virusscanner/spywarescanner/firewall when surfing.
