sourceforgeCan I join a project on sourceforge just to view the code, without contributing?

I am a Java programmer, but have started learning C++. I would find it very helpful to view source code for projects on sourceforge. However, I am not at the point where I feel I could contribute to a project. Is it ok to sign up to source forge and join projectssourceforge just to download code and view it? Will I be hassled by other people working on the project to make some contributions?

Thanks
Yes. It's actually a great idea, a great way to learn. Many books on programming recommend it, even. Although, if you REALLY wannasourceforge sharpen your skills, you should at some point try to contribute.
You don't even have to join in most cases. A lot of the projects have the source code available already that you can view, and in some cases download without being a member of the project.
